Words in the Field: A Gestalt Writing Retreat

Join us for two days of writing, connection and inspiration at the BGJ Writing Academy Residential.

An in-person 2-day residential workshop in Nottingham for therapists and trainees (and adjacent practitioners) who are interested in writing. There'll be time to write, to read and share and to receive constructive feedback and collegial support in a nurturing environment. We will make space for your writing wherever stage you're at with it. You'll be supported to take your writing project further and explore tools that can bring you closer to publication.

Friday 18th to Saturday 19th September 2026

• Develop your writing process and style
• Explore and deepen your subjects of interest
• Meet other practitioner-writers
• Develop a support infrastructure for your writing

Timings:
Friday: 11am – 6pm
Saturday: 10am – 5pm

Catering:
The fee includes lunch on Friday and Saturday and an evening meal on Friday. Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available throughout.

Accommodation is not included. Two rooms are available at Malvern House for a reasonable fee on a first come first served basis. Please get in touch for details.

BGJ Writing Academy – a new initiative

We are launching a new collective for Gestalt practitioners and trainees who want to refine their writing skills, work towards publication, and belong to a supportive writing circle.

We will be offering online day courses and writing labs as well as in-person workshops and residentials to nurture your craft, grow your confidence and to support the emergence and contribution of your unique writing voice within and beyond the Gestalt community.
