About this Event
As part of the opening-day programme at Chapters, we welcome Jamaica Kincaid, one of the most distinctive and influential voices in modern literature.
Kincaid is the author of Annie John, Lucy, A Small Place, Mr. Potter, The Autobiography of My Mother, and other landmark works that have shaped how we think about identity, memory, and the stories we inherit. She teaches at Harvard University, where she is Professor of African and African American Studies in Residence.
The evening opens with an introduction by Sara Collins, the award-winning author of The Confessions of Frannie Langton, before Sharmaine Lovegrove — founder of Chapters and a literary agent — leads an in-depth conversation with Jamaica Kincaid about her life, her craft, and the ideas that run through her work.
