Learn the basics on 4 major tools in 4 hours
About this Event

This workshop goes over the core princples of using 4 large woodworking tools. We will be meeting in Room 214 . There are instructions at the door to be buzzed in.

COVID-19 and Ace Makerspace

  • COVID-19 Safety for visitors - 30 min. virtual class and knowledge check
  • Release of Liability paperwork
  • The maximum humans in the room for this class is 3 people at any time to adhere to safe occupancy limits. Please be sure to mind social distancing.

Timing

This class is 4 hours.

What you will learn

Learn the basics and become certified on these major workshop tools:

  • Table Saw
  • Band Saw
  • Jointer
  • Planer

We will cover the proper use, dust collection, safe use of the saws, and shop protocols. The successful completion of the class counts as Certification.

What to bring :

  • A notebook or well-charged phone for taking notes.

What to wear :

  • Closed-toe shoes, short sleeves and, work clothes. Long hair must be tied back.

Safety Gear :

Eye protection, and ear protection, and all the hand sanitizer will be provided. If you are fussy, bring your own.

This class requires a minimum of 1 student per session. If the class is canceled we can offer a refund but otherwise do not.
