Back by Popular demand the fifth annual Woodlawn natal day community firework event. Had to take a break for two years with the fire ban.
and so many parents have been asking me every time if we’re doing them again because their children
Love it.
so yes since we took two years off looks like we have to double up this time. Lol
We’re doing Natal day the Woodlawn way. We have the field from 5 PM till 10:30pm sat Aug 1st
Approved by the city.
Liability insurance in place
fireworks . free hot dogs. Free Bottles of water.
Free glow sticks for the kids.
We’re gonna have a bouncy castle. It’s an obstacle course and everybody gets a prize at the end but we’re gonna do a time contest for groups of kids
5-6
7-8
9-10
And the fastest one in each group gets an extra prize.
We have music, Dj and face painting
A local girl will be making bracelets to raise money for her cheerleading and hoping to get any other entrepreneurs that living in Woodlawn if they want to come out or have any other ideas to brainstorm, let’s do it.
. I’m also looking for volunteers for security since we have the field for so long this time I’m not sure what time we’re gonna start all depends on getting the portable outhouses which are about $300 a weekend and we might need four of them.
I’m excited to be back to the local community event and provide a safe environment for people to enjoy a great show and get home in five minutes rather than down at the front of the waterfront in 45 minutes home.
I would love for people to give me some ideas of other things we can do to keep the kids occupied and having fun just like they’re at the Spring fair at the school. I’ll be reaching out to some local businesses that I know for other donations on food or popcorn or anything but open two ideas and hopefully we can grow this bigger every year.
Saturday, August 1 we’re doing our fireworks at the exact same time in the city just as we always do but the amount of fireworks we have if I let them off individually, it would be 38 minutes long, but I’m hoping to at least get 16 or 17 minutes. This is gonna be great.
Please post any ideas you have below that we can do for other events for the kids. We have both baseball fields so we have a lot of room and any other entrepreneurs that have businesses local. Please comment below what you’d like to donate or contribute or be a part of
