This combination lecture & hands-on class teaches everything you need to know to strip off an old finish and then apply the perfect finish to just about any woodworking project. Topics include surface preparation and sanding, staining and dying the wood, using sealers and conditioners, oil, wax, poyurethane, and lacquer finishes, and much more. Having completed this class, students will have a firm understanding of the basic types of wood finishes, and how and why each is used.
