It’s the first Saturday at Boxyard, and that means it’s time for Wonderbop! This monthly event is designed to get RTP turnt up and inspired with live music, DJing, spoken word, and more. This collaboration between Blackspace and Only Us Media will feature talented artists and youth from the area – so be sure to join us the first Saturday of each month as we throw down with music, beats, and dancing.We are looking for local high school and college-aged students to perform at these monthly.
About Blackspace
Blackspace is a digital maker space located in downtown Durham and Chapel Hill that provides youth with “WokeShops” rooted in Afrofuturism, STEAM, and hip hop culture.
Covid-19 Precautions
– Boxyard RTP is an open-air facility that will be following in accordance with all Covid-19 regulations put in place by Durham County.
– In addition to regular cleanings, complimentary hand sanitizer and wipe stations are provided throughout our facility.
– The DJ and other performers will be positioned a safe distance away from the general public on the BeatBox stage.
– If you are feeling the beats and have the urge to dance, please do so at your table with the group you came with.
