About this Event
At the sidelines of UNGA High-Level Week, Düzen Tekkal and Kristina Lunz, together with 1014, invite you to a high-level conversation on Women’s Health as a Human Right.
Women’s health remains chronically underprioritized—too often shaped by political will, geography, or social inequality. In fragile and crisis-affected settings, health systems collapse first and women and girls are left most vulnerable. Yet even in more stable environments, reproductive health, access to contraception, safe maternal care, and treatment for trauma-related conditions are frequently treated as optional rather than recognized as fundamental rights.
Speakers include:
- Düzen Tekkal, Co-Founder and CEO of HÁWAR.help
- Kristina Lunz, Co-Founder and CEO of the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy
- Dr. Stellah Bosire, Founding Executive Director of the Africa Center for Health Systems and Gender Justice
- Prof. Dr. Mandy Mangler, Chief Physician for Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Vivantes Auguste-Victoria Clinic & Vivantes Klinikum Neukölln, Professor of Women’s Health and Obstetrics
Together, they will explore how to place women’s health at the center of human rights, drawing on insights from front-line stories, medical practice, and policy. From crisis zones to global cities, this makes the case that safeguarding women’s health is essential—not just for individuals, but for just, equitable and resilient societies.
This program is a collaboration of the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy (CFFP), HÁWAR.help.e.V. and 1014
