Starved Rock State Park Visitor Center | Oglesby, IL

A workshop for those who want to find a connection to nature and how to spend quality time in the great outdoors!
About this Event

Have you ever wanted to connect with nature and learn how to spend quality time in the great outdoors? Park naturalist Lisa Sons and other presenters will help show you how to hike safely, plan the perfect outdoor trip, tips on packing and prepping for a great campout, backpacking tips and trips in the Midwest, nature themed art, personalized walking sticks, and of course a hike to one of the park's canyons and waterfalls!

Participants must be 18 years of age or older, be able to hike at least 2 mile distance and cover multiple staircases, bring their own (non-refrigerated) lunch, and a water bottle. The Starved Rock Foundation will provide snacks, water (cooler not bottles), and coffee (dispenser with reusable mugs).

Space is limited! Do not register unless you are absolutely certain you will be in attendance. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions prior to the workshop.
