Women's Wheeling Weekend
Whether you are an avid, experienced off-road driver, you are looking to gain some more off-road skills, or it is your first time behind the wheel off-road, we are going to have a weekend of female drivers only. It's a weekend of women building each other into more badass wheelers!
*** $35 for the wheeling fee and, due to insurance, you MUST be a member of the WC4WD as an individual or through an affiliate club.
*** $25 for rustic camping. Base camp will be on the lower level near the shed and porta loo. If camping is not your thing, there is plenty of lodging in Tomah.
Saturday morning following registration, we'll stay at base camp for a few hours. Bring a chair! We'll go through various recovery equipment, winch operation and basic techniques, other equipment to keep on board, getting into 4LO, disengaging sway bars, and using lockers, airing down, checking out under the hoods of various makes / models, and getting a general mechanical overview. ***If you have anything you'd like to learn about or more of, let us know in the registration form.
Depending on how long our morning classroom is, we'll either take lunch or head out on the trails. We will begin in the 101 area, head onto easy trails then get more and more difficult as the day goes on. We will also stop at our rock crawls for anyone who wants a challenge or try their skills.
Gentlemen: IF your lady wants you with her to help and spot, that is OK as long as you are Passenger Prince and respectful.
Bring food and drink for the weekend! (no alcohol on the trails, but you may bring for later)
Saturday evening we'll have a campfire, s'mores, and popcorn.
Sunday morning, we'll go back on the trails for a few hours then pack up.
You can camp Friday and Saturday.
Updates will be given on the "event discussion" so click going or interested to stay up to date.
