Women's Wellness Day Retreat
About this Event
A recent report commissioned by the first 100 Years Campaign, RPC Legal and LawCare makes stark reading - 70% of female respondents in law reported experiencing ongoing exhaustion frequently or almost constantly, not fully relieved by rest and 67% have considered moving jobs due to health & wellbeing issues.
Supporting the wellbeing of our members is an organisational strategic priority, and the importance of taking time to rest, recharge and develop practical strategies for maintaining wellness in a demanding profession is recognised. This cross-practice initiative has been developed with that priority in mind.
The “Rest, Restore & Reconnect Day Retreat” for female lawyers will be facilitated by Aileen McErlean of Ananda Wellness, and will include guided reflection and relaxation practice, breathwork sessions and sustainable practical well-being tools that female professionals can incorporate into their daily lives.
There are eight places available to the Law Society, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
As this is a pilot programme, with the aim of offering the event each term, attendees will be invited to provide feedback to help shape future sessions.
