About this Event
Join us for "Step into your Truth", a half-day retreat designed to help you break free from what’s been weighing you down and rediscover your strength and clarity that already exists inside of you.
Experience a blend of yoga, journaling, somatic exercises, breathwork and sound bath that create a powerful space for transformation guided by Clara and Cathy - we are two yoga-loving women, passionate about sharing our learnings from our own journeys.
This is for you if:
- You're going through a life change, feeling hesitant to take the leap, or yearning to understand yourself on a deeper level
- You seek to deepen your yoga practice beyond physical movement to other modalities like breathwork and sound healing, and connect spiritually within and with like-minded people
- You are curious to learn more about why and how you can change how you feel via your nervous system to find safety in your body and uncover inner clarity

📜 What to bring
- Wear yoga wear
- Loose change of clothes (not tight around waist)
- Water (to stay hydrated)
- A small towel (useful for sweat and to cover eyes)
- A notepad and pen
- An open heart and willingness to unwind and immerse yourself in self-discovery
- Anything to make you feel comfortable for the practice such as a warm layer

🧘♀️ What is yang to yin yoga
Yang to yin yoga is a practice that combines two contrasting styles of yoga to create a balanced experience. You’ll begin with a gentle but energizing yang flow to start, which helps to awaken and open your body.
This is followed by a slower, meditative yin practice, where you’ll hold poses for longer durations, allowing for deep relaxation and introspection as we target the deeper connective tissues (which are rich in nerves!). This transition helps you reconnect with yourself on a profound level, fostering both physical and emotional awareness.
🧠 What does the nervous system regulation and somatic exercises session involve
Nervous system regulation refers to the balancing of your body's stress response that occurs via the nervous system. You will learn the basics of how your stress response works in this session.
Somatic exercises involve body-centered techniques that enhance awareness of physical sensations and emotions, allowing the release of tension, stress and trauma stored in the body. You will experience somatic exercises to cultivate a deeper connection with your body, helping to process emotions and facilitate healing, ultimately supporting your journey toward inner clarity.

The journaling and sharing session is designed to foster self-reflection and community connection with like-minded people. You’ll be guided through prompts that encourage you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and insights. This safe and supportive environment allows you to share your experiences with others, deepening your understanding of yourself while also benefiting from the perspectives of other participants. This process can help reinforce your journey and inspire growth as you step into your power.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is an immersive breathing practice designed to explore the depths of the self and connect with the subconscious mind. By facilitating expanded states of consciousness and altering brainwave patterns, this practice promotes deep healing. It is grounded in a trauma-informed approach, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants. Through intentional breathing techniques, individuals can access profound insights and transformative experiences, fostering a greater sense of self-awareness and emotional release.

🥣 What is a sound bath
A sound bath is an immersive experience where you lie on your back while listening to sounds and vibrations from instruments, such as Alchemy Crystal Bowls. This practice promotes deep relaxation by helping to synchronize your brainwaves to a calmer state, which can facilitate the release of tension and foster introspection. The vibrations are believed to connect you to the energy field around you, bringing balance to your physical and emotional well-being. Our session features Alchemy Crystal Bowls from Crystal Tones, renowned for their craftsmanship and quality of bowls, made from 99.995% pure quartz crystal, infused with other gemstones and precious metals.

Hi there, I’m Cathy. Change has been the only constant thing in life. My healing journey started when I started moving with intention and then from there finding space to tune inwards. This is what I am committed to sharing - I would love to help you find your own journey towards personal growth and emotional healing. I teach privates, corporates and events for yoga and sound baths. I am certified as a vinyasa and trauma-informed yin yoga teacher and a level 2 quantum alchemy crystal bowl practitioner. Hi, I’m Clara! After navigating my own journey with anxiety and healing from childhood traumas, I’m passionate about guiding others in connecting with their true selves for healing. As a certified Hatha-Vinyasa yoga instructor with 400 hours of breathwork training and 50 hours of sound healing with Himalayan bowls, my goal is to create a nurturing space for self-exploration and transformation.
