We are revisiting one of our most empowering events to-date, Self Defense. In 2022, we offered a self-defense class that women flocked to for community, movement, and incredible life skills. In 2024, we are making it even better by bringing this class outside to the turf at the University of Dubuque, Chalmers Field! We will be able to host so many more women and be outside for this incredible evening.
Taught by some of Dubuque's finest self-defense instructors, this Recess activity combines empowering movement with practical application. Your ticket price includes a one-hour hands-on class and dinner provided by Rock Salad to follow. Pre-registration is required for this event to guarantee dinner. Any and all adult women are welcome to attend this event. No experience is required as this class is designed for beginners.
Class will begin promptly at 6 PM with dinner to follow. Check in will open at 5:30 PM. Please bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing.
