About this Event

Women in the Palestinian struggle perform decisive roles to fight back against the Zionist, colonial, apartheid state. Embedded within the heart and soul of the Palestinian people is the Dabke. Transcending mere artistic expression, it is a resolute act of defiance against the Zionist state's occupation of Palestine. Tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) is a living archive that witnesses and documents what Palestine and Palestinians have continued to endure but not without continuing to resist and be resilient.
