Whats involved:
Sistahs in Kiz are hosting a 2-hour Kizomba solo movement workshop, followed by 1 hour of outdoor filming in Manchester — and coffee & cake afterwards so we can connect properly as women.

This is more than just a workshop...

In a dance scene where Black women are often underrepresented, this workshop intentionally creates space to celebrate Black femininity within Kizomba, while warmly welcoming all women who want to move, connect, and share in that energy.

It’s about not only uplifting Black women, but also celebrating womanhood and sistahood, exploring movement through Kizomba in a way that encourages women to support and uplift one another.

Whether you come alone or with friends, the aim is simple: to create a relaxed environment where women can explore their movement, build confidence, and connect with others in a meaningful way.

What This Experience Is About:

• Uplifting Black women while celebrating womanhood and sistahood
• Building confidence in your movement
• Feeling more expressive and effortless on the dance floor
• Connecting with other women in a genuine and supportive space
• Sharing energy, encouragement and community through dance
• Leaving energised, seen, and empowered

Who Can Join?
All women are welcome. 🤎
All levels are welcome too — whether you’ve never danced Kizomba before or you social dance regularly.

The choreography will be sent one week before the event so you can familiarise yourself with it. During the workshop, we’ll break everything down clearly, offer options, and give you time to feel comfortable and confident.

Come alone or with a friend — this is about connection, growth, and building a supportive community of women through dance.

What to expect:

💃🏾 2 hours breaking down:
• The choreography
• Key feminine movement drills
• How to elevate your ginga/body movement so it feels natural and effortless
• Presence, expression \& owning your style as a woman

🎥 1 hour outdoor filming in Manchester
You’re encouraged to challenge yourself and take part — it can be powerful to have something to look back on and feel proud of.
However, if you’d prefer, you’re welcome to attend the workshop without participating in the filming.

☕ After filming, we’ll head for coffee and cake — because sisterhood doesn’t end when the music stops.

Ticket release Monday 30th March 6pm - Be ready!!!
Ticket sales close 48 hours before the event to allow time for the choreography link to be emailed out so you can familiarise yourself beforehand.

Sistahs in Kiz is about celebrating Black women while embracing the power of womanhood in all its forms. It’s a space where women can be seen, heard, and valued for who they are — their energy, their style, their presence.

At the heart of this movement is sistahood: women supporting, encouraging, and uplifting one another. It’s about choosing connection over comparison, collaboration over competition, and expression over perfection.

While Black women are intentionally centered — because they are too often underrepresented and overlooked — the space is open to ALL WOMEN who want to move with intention, celebrate themselves, and honor the strength and beauty of others.

Sistahs in Kiz is a celebration of unity, empowerment, and shared energy, a place where women can fully embrace their own power while uplifting those around them.

Every SISTAH brings her own flavour, her own style, her own presence to the dance floor.
