We are excited to announce that our popular Women’s Fund Mother’s Day 5k Run/Walk is back!
Join us on May 12, 2024 at Cisco Brewers in New Bedford, MA. Thank you to Cisco Brewers for hosting us, our dedicated Events Committee that has been planning this event since last year, Ward 6 Councilor Ryan Pereira and to the city of New Bedford for welcoming us home!
Since our inception in 2000, the Women’s Fund SouthCoast has invested over $1.5 million in the SouthCoast community. We conduct research on issues impacting women, girls and gender expansive people, fund innovative solutions and collectively advocate for policies and programs led by and for those most impacted.
Each year our Mother’s Day 5K Race raises over $50,000 directly supporting women and girls on the SouthCoast. Our popular race brings together over a thousand runners, walkers and their families. We are back for the 14th year after a brief pause due to COVID and we hope it’s our biggest yet.
