Women's Catholic Weekend Retreat

Set aside time to pray, reflect, and deepen your relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. At the Los Angeles / San Gabriel Valley Search Weekend Retreat.

LA/SGV Search is a weekend retreat experience that reflects the Word of God, Sacraments, and practices of the Catholic Church. The retreat focuses on developing a strong Christian identity through a personal and intimate encounter with Jesus Christ.

We’ll be hosting a Women's ONLY Catholic Retreat—a special opportunity for women to grow in faith, strengthen their relationship with Christ, and embrace their vital role in nurturing faith through teaching, example, prayer and service. As spiritual mothers, women are called to care for and intercede for others, bringing Christ's love and grace into their families, friendships, and communities.

Dates: Friday, September 26 - Sunday, September 29
Time: Check-in is at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 26, and check-out is at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 29
Address: St. Joseph's Salesian Youth Retreat Center, 8301 Arroyo Dr. Rosemead, CA 91770.

Pack your clothing according to the weather. This retreat is set in a relaxed and casual environment.

• We ask that you dress with Christian maturity (i.e., no tank tops, short-shorts, etc.)
• Please do not bring watches, clocks, pagers, cell phones, or radios. We will be on God's time during the weekend.
• If you are musically inclined, feel free to bring your instrument (i.e., if you play the guitar, you are more than welcome to bring it).
• VERY IMPORTANT-Bring your sleeping bag or sheets/blankets, pillow, towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.---all necessary toiletries

Please arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Friday of the retreat weekend. Plan for the possibility of traffic. Departure time will be Sunday afternoon at about 12:30 p.m.

Please do not bring anything that will take away from this experience. Be present. LA/SGV Search and the St. Joseph's Salesian Youth Renewal Center are not responsible for the loss of personal items on the weekend. Please do not bring radios, clocks, cell phones, computers, or any other valuables on the weekend. Substances such as drugs, alcohol, etc., are not permitted.

We strive to create a retreat filled with the peace and joy of the Lord, where everyone feels safe and respected. Harassment of any kind, including bullying or inappropriate advances, will not be tolerated. If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please let a team member know—we take these concerns seriously and will address them with care and compassion.

Be open to receiving the grace and love that God has prepared for you this weekend.

Note: Although you do not have to be a Catholic to experience the retreat, Search is a Catholic Retreat Program, and all church services on the weekend will reflect a balance of the Word and Sacraments according to the traditions and practices of the Roman Catholic Church.
