A day dedicated to reflection, empowerment and Meaningful conversation.
About this Event
Join us for a powerful day of reflection, empowerment and meaningful conversation! Our Movie Screening, Art Exhibition, and Coaching Day brings our communities together to explore stories of resilience, celebrate women's voices and deepen our collective commitment to ending violence in all its forms. Through film, creativity, and guided dialogue, we create space for healing, conection, and change.
Every year, from 25 November - International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and girls to 10 December - Human Rights day, the world observes the 16 days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence. This global campaign calls for solidarity, awareness, and action to end violence against women and girls everywhere. Our event proudly joins this movement, amplifying the message that SAFETY, DIGNITY, and EQUALITY are HUMAN RIGHTS - no privileges.
March 8, International Women's day invites us to reflect on the struggles and achievements that have shaped women's lives across generations. It is a moment to honor the progress made, acknowledge the works still ahead, and commit to building a future where all women - and all people, regardless of gender identity or expression - experience full equality, opportunity, and respect in Canada.
Despite important advances, many inequalities persist:
- Wage gaps continue to limit women's economic security, and independence.
- Women remain underrepresented in leadership and decision-making roles.
- Systemic barriers still restrict women's access to opportunities, resources, and safe environments.
These realities remind us that lasting change requires collective effort-community by community, voice by voice, and commitment to #Commit2Action,
This day is an invitation to learn, to reflect, and to take action.
Together, we raise awareness.
Together, we uplift one another.
Together we build a future free from violence and full of opportunity for all!
Take a stand. End violence, Empower women. Transform tomorrow.
