Join us for a fun, social walk at this lovely green space in Kew East.
Who is this event for?

These walks are for women who live, work or study in the City of Boroondara.

This twilight walk is the perfect opportunity to unwind, connect with nature, and meet like-minded women from your area through a shared love of walking! Come alone, or bring a female friend or family member.

This walk will be led by Jane from Victoria Walks with female volunteers from The Y helping out.

Meeting point: Find us between the playground and public toilet block.

Walk description

This walk is approximately 2km in length and follows formed tracks. We will do a couple of laps around Hay's Paddock, and divert briefly along the Glass Creek trail. If we're feeling energetic we can extend the walk slightly.
This is an easy walk that is mostly flat, however the section that traces Glass Creek can become muddy and slippery and is not entirely flat.
People with good mobility will manage this walk and it is suitable for people pushing prams.

Please note that this walk will go past a dog off-leash area at Hay's Paddock, we will likely encounter off-leash dogs on our walk.

Transport options for getting to and from the event?

Driving: Free parking is available at the car park next to the playground (Leason Street entry) which is close to the walk meeting point. There is another car park at the corner of Lister Street and Keystone Cresent.

Public transport: Hay's Paddock is closest to the Route 200/207 bus which travels from Kew Juntion along Princess St, then Willsmere Road and Kilby Road. Get off at the Leason Street stop (Kilby Road) and walk 200m north, passing the Kew East Tennis Club and continuing on to reach the Hay's Paddock playground and car park area.
