Women Veteran Meetup- Hosted by West Valley Women Veterans


Join us for our Monthly Women Veteran Meetup a gathering designed to bring together women veterans for an evening of connection support and empowerment.


This in-person event exclusively for women veterans will take place on Thursday May 9th 2024 at 6:00 PM in the private American Legion Post 29 Hall at 6822 North 57th Drive Glendale Arizona. (Located 1/2 block south of Glendale Avenue in the Hall which is the separate non-smoking building with the large mural.)


At this meetup we aim to create a space where women veterans can share their experiences form meaningful connections and find support from fellow veterans who understand their unique journey. Whether you're still in the military recently transitioning into civilian life or have been out of the service for years this event provides an opportunity to create genuine connections exchange stories and build a strong community of like-minded individuals.


During the meetup we will facilitate engaging discussions offer resources and provide valuable information on various topics relevant to women veterans.


Topic of the Month:

Moving from Surviving to Thriving


What to expect: Presentation and Q&A with Fresh Start Women’s Foundation on their Five Pillars of Service: Family Stability Health & Well-Being Financial Management Education & Training & Careers.


Why this topic:

Access to education and career opportunities are essential to helping women cultivate sustainable long-term change. When the women become self-sufficient their growth acts as a catalyst and creates a multigenerational impact that improves the whole family’s well-being.


From establishing household stability to launching a new career in today’s most in-demand fields Fresh Start Women’s Foundation’s strategic approach helps women not only achieve economic independence but sustain it.


Navigating the life after the military or significant life changes can be challenging & you do not need to do it alone or on your own!
