About this Event
Happening on March 8th from 7pm in the lovely surrounds of The Tara Building in Dublin, Women On The Mic is a partially open-mic live gig hosted by the hilarious Fionnuala Jones, which will see headline acts such as Emma Doran, Lilith Ferreyra-Carroll, Senita Appiakorang as well as members of the public take to the mic and let their lights shine bright.
*All genders welcome, but this time it's just those who identify as women who will be taking the mic (and the glory)
**Men particularly encouraged to come and listen (how novel!)
So please join us this International Women's Day as we revel in the abundance of talents that women in Ireland have to offer, with all proceeds going to East Wall Here For All as they work to promote inclusivity in Dublin. It's going to be a lovely buzz and great craic, so we'd love to see you there.
Want to perform something? Our application form is here, and we'll do all we can to fit as many in the line-up as possible.
East Wall Here for All are a community group established in solidarity and ally ship with new members of the East Wall community. The group wants to welcome the new residents of the centre into the community and, in doing so, would like to provide practical support. They are raising funds to directly supporting the immediate needs of residents, and, in the future, the surplus funds may be used to run events, classes etc., for residents.
The Useless Project is an events and awareness-raising platform run by Taz Kelleher and Geraldine Carton. Their work aims to help people to feel less useless in the face of climate change and a hype-individualised modern society, and brings people together in a way that promotes a greater sense of connection - both to our planet and one another. Through events and initiatives centered around creativity, community and sustainability, The Useless Project helps people connect the dots between themselves and the world around them, throwing in plenty of craic and laughs as they go.
The Tara Building is a coworking, events and community hub in Dublin city centre which offers people space to create, collaborate, and grow. It houses hot desks, private offices, meeting rooms, event spaces, and a beautiful roof garden – but most importantly, it is home to a community of curious and creative people. The Tara Building believe passionately in the power of creativity and community to make a positive impact for people, society, and the planet.
This event is proudly sponsored by The Collaborations Agency, an Irish talent representation agency joining the dots between brands and content creators.
