Celebrate pow season and join us and Fireside at Five for Women of Winter, an all-women's ski film premiere at BASECAMP Market Station on Sunday, November 10th, from 1:00 - 3:00p MT.
Women of Winter will feature three, ski films that spotlight the collective experience of women in the ski industry.
❄️ NISEI (nee-say), a creative exploration of the biracial experience of skier, Sierra Schlag. While in Japan, she is seen as white and while in America, she is seen as Japanese and never accepted as her full self. Through the lens of skiing, Schlag finds herself on a journey to self-discovery within the two cultures she has ties to.
❄️ Kindred - Devin Logan and Caroline Claire, both from Long Island, are U.S. Olympic team members and skiing soulmates. Join them as they take the next bold step in their illustrious careers: Big lines, raw honesty, and camaraderie that stretches from the half pipe to the backcountry.
❄️ CONSONANCE - Consonance means "harmony or agreement among components," as well as "correspondence or recurrence of sounds." A balance between fast and slow pacing, soft and powerful expression, Erin Spong’s CONSONANCE dances the line between harmonized breath and movement.
Additionally, we'll have Market Station vendors on-site promoting seasonal specials + promotions. Browse Thule, Topo Designs, and The Residences at Market Station before and after the film screenings!
☕ The Residences at Market Station will be providing free hot cocoa + coffee for attendees.
