Women of the Bog
Women of the Bog is Naomi's creative, confidential, psychologically-informed group rooted in nature and feminist values & power, and aimed at deepening self-awareness and building a sense of community. It is facilitated by a qualified counselling psychologist & massage therapist. The group runs roughly monthly and follows a 7-session arc from June to December.
What to expect
Each 2-hour session includes:
- a warm welcome and a safe and confidential container
- introduction to the session theme
- reflective and/or creative activities (e.g. art, journalling, dyads)
- embodied practices (e.g. breathwork, movement, somatic awareness)
- optional sharing and collective reflection
Session 1: Entering the Bog - my metaphor for the willingness to explore, with gentle curiosity and compassion, your whole self within the context of and in relationship with society, culture, history (the world’s and yours).
This first session aims to help you to dip your toes into the bog and establish psychological safety within yourself and the group.
It will offer space to explore your relationship with intuition, self-discovery and circularity. How does it feel to take the time to sit with yourself? How does it feel to be present in your body? What do you tend to hide or preserve in yourself? What patterns keep coming up again and again for you?
