Women of the AGA x Make Music: Art & Music Open House on YWCA 124 Street

Join us for an unforgettable day of art, culture, and music as YWCA Edmonton teams up with the Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) to celebrate AGA's upcoming 100th anniversary. This milestone event highlights the incredible contributions women have made to Alberta's oldest cultural institution over the past century.

Explore a collection of pieces by trailblazing female Albertan artists, curated by AGA Associate Curator and Collections Manager Danielle Siemens. Discover the stories of nine women who shaped and built AGA, from Maud Bowman, the gallery’s first president and executive director, to Brenda Draney, Edmonton-based artist and AGA’s first Indigenous board member. Enjoy live music while experiencing this art show during its final public viewing at YWCA Edmonton.

Extend your day of celebration by joining the vibrant Make Music Edmonton event on June 22 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Organized in partnership with the 124th Street Business Association, this electrifying festival brings together musicians from diverse backgrounds to celebrate music, culture, and community along 124th Street.
