In recognition of Women Veteran Appreciation Day, Truman VA will hold a women Veteran talent showcase, “Women of Honor: Talent & Tribute,” from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, June 12, in the Auditorium. The event will showcase the talents of our women Veterans in a supportive, inclusive environment. Performances may include music, poetry, storytelling, visual art displays, and other creative expressions. NOTE: The event is an open house style where guests can arrive and depart as needed between performances. The purpose and spirit of the event is to celebrate women Veterans rather than hold a competition.
Light finger food will be available and giveaways for women Veterans will take place at the end of the showcase.
