About this Event
PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
Unpretentious, beginner-friendly wine tasting. If you are an expert, or really want to learn more about wine, this tasting is for you.
Join us for an evening wine tasting at The Company We Keep, a St. Clair West café and bottle shop. This tasting is hosted by Emma McKeen from Genuwine Imports. Emma will be showcasing some of their favourite wines from the Genuwine Portfolio. All 4 wines will highlight women owned & operated wineries around the world.
Emma has been in the wine industry for over 10 years, beginning as a certified sommelier which led her into wine sales for different wine agencies. She has been working with Courtney at Genuwine for almost 3 years now and will say it’s her favourite employer so far.
Genuwine Imports is a modern wine importer (owned and run by women!) that celebrates the wild, the classical and everything in-between. They work with producers who aren’t afraid to do things differently — whether redefining the conversation around a traditional wine region or taking things back to basics, they are committed to sharing the stories behind these wines and those that make them.
The event will include a guided wine tasting and presentation on the backgrounds of each bottle, with an informal discussion and Q&A. The presented wine will be available for purchase by the glass, and bottles will be sold at a discount for you to take home. Both industry and non-industry folks are welcome to attend!
Tickets for the event are $45 online and $50 at the door. As our capacity is limited, we highly recommend booking a spot in advance, as spots will not be held for walk-ins if reservations fill up. One ticket acts as a cover fee for one person, and includes the wine tasting and snack pairings. Please reach out if you have any dietary restrictions. Additional food and drinks will be available for purchase.
