On Saturday May 20th Allegra, a Newport based choir, are hosting an International Three Choir event entitled ‘Women in Song’, at St Woolos Cathedral. For this exciting project Allegra will be joined by Bangor Ladies’ Choir, from Northern Ireland, and the Defence Academy Military Wives Choir from Wiltshire meaning there will be representation from three UK countries with 120 singers. It promises to be a truly spectacular event with the aim to bring recognition of the importance of music and singing to both individual wellbeing and to the community.
Doors open 7pm.
