Fozia Ahmed graduated from the University of Manchester in 2003 and undertook specialist training in cardiology in the North-West region. In 2015 she was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Manchester University Hospitals, where she specialises in heart failure and cardiac devices.
She is Honorary Professor in Cardiovascular Sciences at Keele University. Her research interests broadly span the themes of remote monitoring and management of heart failure, risk prediction models, and prevention of cardiovascular infection; with a focus on practice-based clinical trials and re-designing pathways to improve patient outcomes.
