Welcome to the 'Women in Media 2024' Ireland and Britain media partnership summit

What: Women in Media Belfast CIC presents 'WIM 2024' Ireland and Britain media partnership summit.

Where: The Great Hall at Queen's University Belfast.

When: Thursday October 24, 9am-2pm.

WIMB is delighted to welcome Women on Air (Dublin), and Women in Journalism Scotland to Belfast. All are welcome at WIM 2024. You don't have to be a media worker or a woman to attend. We are concerned with amplying, empowering and engaging with you all.

The event line up includes: Amanda Ferguson; Susan McKay (Ireland's Press Ombudsperson); Jilly Beattie; Niamh Campbell; Denise Watson; Claire Graham: Catriona Stewart: Anna Burnside, Claudia Savage: Barbara McCann; Caoimhe Clements; Róisín Duffy; Noelle O'Reilly; Alison O'Connor; Sal Hanvey; and Una Murphy.

We will also thrilled to be joined on the day by: Fact Check NI's Dr Orna Young; freelance broadcaster and event host Lynette Fay; The Muslim Mother's Collective; Belfast Media Festival's Vittoria Cafolla; Team GB Paralymic athlete Katie Morrow; Antrim Gaelic footballer Lara Dahunsi; plus QUB's Gaby Matthews and Professor Karen McCloskey.

Please join us. Registration begins from 9am. Speakers and panels commence at 10am sharp and the event concludes with a networking lunch, and Jawbox Gin from 1pm.

General admission, and student/unwaged tickets are available. You can also buy a solidarity ticket to allow another person to attend who might not otherwise be able to afford to do so.
