On Saturday, March 21st, the Museum of the Waxhaws will be hosting an event honoring “Women in History”. Old Six Mile Cemetery will have a manned exhibit at the occasion featuring OSMC’s memorial monument to women who served in the American Revolution. OSMC’s monument is only one of eight in the state of South Carolina. Also at OSMC’s exhibit at the event will be articles about just a few of the many interesting and true stories of women's participation not only in America’s fight for independence, but also about their bravery throughout history to advance freedom. Come and enjoy the day’s events, and stop by OSMC’s table to say hello to Jerry Marcus, founder and docent of OSMC . The museum will be open to visitors during the “Women in History” event.
