About this Event
After a sellout 2025, Women in Energy Melbourne is back for 2026 in celebration of International Women’s Day and this year’s theme: Give to Gain.
Join us for a special event featuring Sharan Burrow, a leading global voice on human rights, labour rights, climate action and a just transition.
Why this conversation matters
Australia’s energy transition sits within a global shift. Governments, communities and industry are navigating rapidly changing consumer expectations, new technologies, geopolitical dynamics and the urgent need to decarbonise. At the same time, leaders are rightfully calling on the energy sector to consider how to use this critical infrastructure transition to help address systemic inequalities, including economic disadvantage, energy poverty and social injustice. The choices made now will shape access to essential services for generations.
Sharan, known for her leadership in advancing global labour and corporate responsibility, will help us explore how we can design an energy future that is not only efficient and clean, but fair and inclusive, and how the IWD 2026 theme ‘Give to Gain’ can guide leadership through this transformation.
