In partnership with Abbozzo Gallery and CAMH | womenmindtm, join us for an exclusive opulent evening of networking and celebration of the rich tapestry of women's identities within the diaspora. This is happening in concert with the Tech Conference Collision so though part of this evening will be dedicated to various art forms where we will explore themes of peace, unity, and cultural diversity, this is also an evening of networking. This in-person gathering promises to be a vibrant celebration of empowerment and creativity. Event Description:
Curating some of my favourite artists and photographers, I invite you to join me for an evening of introspection, celebration, and connection at "Women, Identity, and the Diaspora: A Celebration of Peace through Art." This unique event will feature the powerful works of four exceptional artists, each exploring the complex journey of women of color (WOC) through the lenses of identity, vulnerability, and strength.

- Art Exhibitions Immerse yourself in the profound and diverse artworks that tell the stories of WOC navigating their identities within the diaspora. Each piece reflects personal and collective experiences, offering a visual narrative of resilience and peace.
- Panel Discussion: Engage with our featured artists in an intimate panel where they share their journeys, struggles, and triumphs. Hear their introspective stories that highlight the vulnerability and strength inherent in their art and lives.
- Performances: Enjoy captivating performances featuring dancers and speakers who will bring additional layers of cultural expression and storytelling to the evening.
- Food and Drink: Savor a curated selection of international cuisines and beverages, offering a taste of the diverse cultures represented in the diaspora.
Featured Artists:
1. Moses Salihou - Known for his evocative paintings that capture the essence of African heritage and contemporary identity. Salihou is a Cameroonian artist based in Toronto exploring the ideas of belonging and existence by creating work that blends elements of portraiture and abstraction. Salihou has exhibited across the United States and Canada and globally, including Europe, New Zealand, Africa, Asia, Canada, and the US.
2. Haris Sardar - Haris is a Toronto-based Canadian-Pakistani visual artist, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. His work highlights a variety of experiences through his unique lenses, an intersection of South Asian culture and modern experiences.
3. Isha Damania - A South Asian Canadian artist exploring themes of displacement and belonging through her dynamic creations. Isha was recently featured her first digital feature at Art Basel in Miami, FL.
4. Bhavya Dixit- A traditional Indian artist who brings ancient art forms into modern dialogue, focusing on feminist narratives
