The mass, woman- led, uprising in Iran continues with extraordinary scenes of popular resistance in the face of brutal repression.
The brutal killing of the young Kurdish woman Mahsa/Jina Amini by the morality police, after her arrest for the crime of wearing her hijab 'incorrectly', has sparked inspirational mass protests across the country.
What are the roots of the mass movement sweeping Iran? What are the movement's prospects of success? Can the movement deepen and face down the repressive state? Should we be suspicious of talk of 'western intervention'?
These and other questions will be addressed by our guest speaker Sheila McGregor. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
