We’re excited to be welcoming everyone to the highlight of the Australasian debating calendar - the Grand Finals of Wollongong Australs 2026
Come along and watch the best teams in Australasia battle it out to be crowned the newest Australs Champions!
The Grand Finals are open to members past and present of the Australasian Debating Community, as well as friends and family of participants who want to come along and cheer on their loved ones!
We ask that all participants and guests arrive to be seated by at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of each debate.

- Time: EFL Final - 11:00am | ESL Final - 1:30pm | Open Final - 4:30pm | Championship Dinner & Closing Ceremony - 7pm
- Location: University Hall, Building 11, University of Wollongong, Keiraville NSW 2500
- This is an over 18s event only

There will be canapes between the ESL and Open Grand Finals. A sit-down meal will be held during Championship Dinner between Open Grand Final and Closing Ceremony. There will also be a limited Bar Tab available.
Canapes, dinner and access to the bar tab are only available to non-participants if purchased at an extra cost.
Costs:
- Attendance Only (no food or bar tab): free!
- Champ Dinner Package (attendance + food + access to the bar tab): $90pp
Champ Dinner packages will close on 2 July 2026, at 23:59 AEST (this is subject to change at short notice, so please RSVP soon).
You must register so we can confirm with the university who we are expecting to attend and ensure there are enough seats available. If you’re already attending Australs as a participant, you do not need to register your attendance separately here.
