Come enjoy a big sing with the WNC Pagan Choir at our winter season Finale! The winter months have always demanded patience, deep listening, and communal cooperation. The slow return of the sun, alongside seasonal holidays like Imbolc, are a cause for celebration and the resurgence of the spirit during times (both ecological and political) that can otherwise cause us to despair. At this participatory event, our choir will teach you songs from our season that embrace the meditative elements of winter alongside songs that rejoice in hope, devotion and the strength of our ancestors. We’ll also perform a few songs for you, weaving in traditional European folklore and knowledge along the way. Anticipate a little bit of ritual as well!

When: Saturday, March 7th, 5-7pm
Where: Land of Sky UCC, 15 Overbrook Pl., Asheville
Cost: Suggested donation of $10-$25. You can pay in cash at the event, or over Venmo @Saro-Lynch-Thomason, or Paypal at [email protected].
20% of proceeds will go to Rural Organizing and Resistance (ROAR) to support rural mutual aid in our mountain region!
This is a participatory event. Come prepared to sing with us! Closer to the event, we may post suggestions for altar items to bring.

Space Policies and Accessibility:
Parking: There are two parking lots for the church- One is accessible via Corazon Drive, and the other by Overbrook Drive. You can park in either lot.
Accessibility: This building is wheelchair accessible.
Attendees will sometimes be invited to be physically active during this event, including standing and walking. However, chairs will be provided for all, and you are invited to be as sedentary or active as you wish during the event.
Please don’t wear scents or perfume. Keeping scents out of the space enables everyone to enjoy our singing environment.
Children are welcome at the event if they can focus and enjoy singing along, or are otherwise quiet babies-in-arms. The event should be considered and treated as a concert space, with customary periods of quiet listening expected.
