đ„ WITHERFALL đ„WITHERFALL release Aerosmith cover "Kings And Queens"
As they kick off the first of many European live shows at Candelabrum Metal Fest this week, Los Angeles-based dark melodic metal outfit WITHERFALL are happy to unveil the music video for their version of "Kings and Queens" â originally written and recorded by Aerosmith off their 1977 album Draw the Line.

"We really wanted to capture the songs subject matter on this video", explains the band. "Given today's charged political climate and the discontent on all sides with our civil servants, the world is surely having another Marie Antoinette moment... 'Let Them Eat Cake' â Kings and Queens and Guillotines indeed."
"Kings and Queens" follows on the heels of Witherfall's much lauded fourth album "Sounds Of The Forgotten", which came out in May 2024. Soon, the band will present their music live on stage in Europe.

Witherfall was formed in Los Angeles in 2013. Joseph Michael (also of Sanctuary fame) and Jake Dreyer (ex-Iced Earth/Demons & Wizards) built their new band around drummer Adam Sagan (RIP) and accomplished bassist Anthony Crawford (Allan Holdsworth, CHON). Since then, the group have released three highly regarded albums: Nocturnes and Requiems (2017), A Prelude to Sorrow (2018), and Curse of Autumn (2021) and an ep Vintage (2019). Not one to cut corners, Witherfall enlisted famed drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson) on Curse of Autumn, ensuring the foundations of singles âAs I Lie Awake,â âThe Other Side of Fear,â and âThe Riverâ were second to none. On the upcoming album, Minnemann returns to the fold with an album-only appearance, while drummer Chris Tsaganeas (Wax Owls) and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Hirschfeld (Willie Nelson) Witherfallâs newest permanent members.
Every Witherfall album is a defining moment. From the moment Nocturnes and Requiems thundered across metaldom to the groupâs wine endeavors (Tempest Red Blend) with Charlie & Echo Winery, their video collaboration with Cig Neutron (Devilâs Workshop) on âThe Other Side of Fear,â a beer partnership with Adroit Theory Brewing Company (Shadows Black IPA), and custom Funko Pop set, Michael and Dreyer have made Witherfall their mission. The journey to this point hasnât been without toil and upheaval. Determination, however, is the key.

đ„ MYSTERY BLUE đ„
The foundation of MSTERY BLUE dates back to 1982 by guitarist Frenzy Philippon, shortly after which the band quickly became a household name in the world of Heavy Metal as a result of the release of two successful albums âthe eponymous debut LP âMystery Blueâ(Axe Killer Records) followed by âCircle Of Shameâ (Dream Records/CBS)- and their relentless touring with big guns such as Motörhead, Def Leppard, Saxon, Vengeance, amongst many others.
In 1996, guitarist and founder Frenzy reformed Mystery Blue with the exceptional vocalist Nathalie Geyer, shortly followed by releasing their third album âSpirit Of Your Songâ. In 1998 they recruited Vince Koehler on drums who will soon become more than just a fantastic powerful drummer for the band, the hard core of Mystery Blue was born! Besides Frenzy, Nathalie and Vince, Mystery Blue is today composed of Erik Lothaire on second guitar and Julien âTedâ Weibel on bass.
Since their reformation, Mystery Blue have powered through Europe opening for bands such as Girlschool, Virgin Steele, Powerwolf, Rebellion, Paragon, Rockbitch, Wolf, Primordial, Freedom Call, ADX, Heathen, Nightmare and Destruction, as well as having played at big festivals such as the Headbangers Open Air, Swordbrothers, Metal Forces Festival in Germany, the Tilburg Headbangers Fest in Holland, the Dark & Green Metal Fest in Spain, the Underwall in Croatia and of course the Hellfest and the Paris Metal France festival.
In parallel, the musicians of Mystery Blue keep on honing their song-writing talents and produce five new albums: in 2004 âMetal Slavesâ is released via Steelheart Records, in 2006 the band signed with Mausoleum Records for the album âClaws Of Steelâ produced by Achim KoÌhler. In 2009, with the same producer, âHell & Furyâ was released via Bernett Records. In 2012 the musicians return to the studio to record their 7th album âConquer The Worldâ produced by Uwe Lulis .
After many years of touring, and some incredible festival & show appearances under their belt, in 2016 Mystery Blue release their first live album âLive⊠Made in Europeâ and tour UK and Europe with the Canadian legends ANVIL taking on board a whole lot of new fans thanks to the successful shows!
Inspired by their numerous live appearances, the band records in 2019 its 8th studio album â8REDâ followed by âNight Demonâ in 2024, both released by the legendary Metal label MASSACRE RecordsâŠ
