Witches of The Blackberry Field: Silent Supper

Welcome fálita to the Ladysmith branch of the WBBF Silent Supper. We will be hosting a picnic at a local park in Ladysmith in rememberence of our ancestors and deceased family and friends. There will be a moment of silence at the beginning of dinner to honour the dead however afterwards talking and socializing will resume. 

It will be a potluck luck dinner so please bring a food item to share. Hot chocolate and hot apple cider is encouraged. Your host will be bringing a lovely homemade dish to celebrate. Items you may wish to bring include

- pie

- mashed potatoes 

- salad

- hot vegetables 

- casserole 

- hot roles

If you have specific questions about what to bring for the potluck reach out to the coordinator Krystalynne (Máthair Crow) on Facebook who will be happy to put you in touch with your host. We'll be happy to put you and your party on our guest list but we tend to keep locations private until we know who guests are to avoid trolling etc.

Please dress for the weather and feel free to bring outside toys for the little ones to keep them happy. After dinner there is usually a toast to the dead so again non-alcoholic beverages such as hot chocolate and hot apple cider are encouraged. 

Guests will be arriving at 5:00pm and dinner will resume at 5:30pm. Feel free to reach out to your event coordinator Krystalynne who can give you the location and put you in contact with your host who is a mother and grandmother herself; so this is a family friendly event for people of all ages.

The Blackberry Witches is a diverse community of various Pagan cultures that includes people of all races cultures sexual orientation genders and disabilities. We host public events where guests are welcome to attend and visit and inner circle events and classes are provided for our inner circle Bramble on seperate occasions. Our tradition is non-Wiccan and was founded in 2009 by a group of practicing Witches. We provide community events and community out reach through healers and divinitory readers.
