About this Event

The Ministry of the Eternal Rose invites you to join us at The Temple of Sacred Arts for SAMHAIN a ritual and costumed celebratory honoring of our ancestors, and the beings who live and work in realms beyond our human experience.

In Celtic tradition, Samhain is a time when the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead is at its thinnest. For this reason, it is believed that spirits and fairies can more easily pass between the two worlds, and we can more easily communicate with the ancestors and the spirits beyond the veil.

Traditional Samhain ceremonies often involve lighting bonfires, as fire has long been seen as a symbol of purification and protection, so we will enjoy a late night rooftop fire (since a bonfire in the city could get these witches burned). It is also customary, for people to wear masks or costumes that represent the spirits and fairies that are believed to be present. Please be mindful to adorn yourself in a culturally appropriate fashion.

Feasting and storytelling are also vital elements of traditional Samhain celebrations. So bring your delicious & intentional potluck item to contribute to our seasonal feast, and prepare for a womb mysteries transmission / prayerformance as we ritually rebirth our Temple, honor the ancestors of the Sacred Embodiment Center, of these coast Salish lands, & the ancestors of our own lineages, & share more about our “doctrine” as Priestesses of the Ministry of the Eternal Rose.

This will be our Grand Opening (Birthing Ceremony), with a the ceremonious cutting of the ribbon to of our Temple of Sacred Arts; a rebirth of the formerly known Sacred Embodiment Center.

Please come dressed in your finest Fae attire, witchy adornments, and expression of what lives beyond the Veil.

We will offer an Elemental Altar to place sacred items, photos of Ancestors, and aspects of the 5 Elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water & Spirit. Please bring items to contribute and bring home with you charged up by the beauty & reverence we co-create on this special night.

We ask that all the musicians bring their instruments and voices, that temple keepers bring their sacred smudge and fans, that the nourishment faeries bring dishes to delight the senses of all, and that the elixir artist bring tantalizing tastes to share.

Flow of the Evening:

6 PM - 6:30 | Arrival, Smudging & Nestling - add your items to the altar, find your space to cozy in

See you in the dark of the night of the thinnest veil between worlds. With love, the Priestesses of the Eternal Rose
