Wisseloord Sessions

Every music lover knows the Wisseloord Studios as the Dutch pop temple where artists such as the Rolling Stones, The Police, Elton John, Scorpions, Chris Brown, Ilse DeLange, Iron Maiden and many more have recorded their finest work.

But more than the striking sound that comes from its rooms, Wisseloord is also an international musical hub and a talent development center where artists from all over the world find and develop their craft.

During the ‘Wisseloord Sessions’ you will get the primeur to see some unique showcases given by a selection of those artists working behind our walls. Every first Sunday of the month – starting on May 1st, 2022 – join us in our STUDIO 1 and be the part of the first people who get the opportunity to hear those artists trying out their music before that they deliver it to the rest of the world.

This session will introduce you to I.N.K.T and Guyy:

INKT is melancholic indie pop with wilful Dutch lyrics about seemingly trivial things. A long talk on a hot summer’s eve, a heated discussion and ringing ears. The wind slapping your face while riding your bike home slightly drunk. Every track a soundtrack for a movie that doesn’t exist. Sincere and emotional, intimate and compelling.

The couple based in Amsterdam has a long track record. In 2018 they presented their debut album in a sold out TivoliVredenburg. After a long search and the birth of their daughter they finally found their musical home.

Their first single 'Joker' after a long break writing new music released in February 2022. In this radical track they pay homage to blind infatuation and the desire to love so fiercely that all the pain is only incidental.

Their second single ‚Te veel’ didn’t only make it to Spotify’s New Music Friday NL but also reached the cover of on the countries most prominent editorial indie playlists: indiepuntnl.

Electro-indie collective GUYY, pronounced as "[giː]", is the result of a love for something modern and something from the past. Intens groovy and catchy hooks, 80’s sounds, disco-vibes and a healthy amount of hip-hop beats are the foundation for GUYY and turns the band into a unique and hip shaking entity.

GUYY does not limit or stop themselves at being a band. We thrive to be a collective where every form of art is welcome. Fashion, photography and graphic design are a few of the artforms where we would love to give young and talented artists a platform to show of their art.
