WISE Nature Walks: Linda Pederson

WISE walks offer a two-hour interpretative exploration of diverse locations in Sumter and Hernando Counties. Our primary focus is to enlighten participants about local wildlife, invasive species, scat, and tracks. Additionally, we delve into the local ethnobotanical practices and recount the history of native plants at each site.

Hiking Difficulty: Easy. The paths are wide and paved.

Restrooms: Available on-site.

What to wear: Opt for a long-sleeved or short-sleeved shirt and pants. Closed-toed shoes and a hat are recommended.

Is there a Registration Fee?

Yes, there is a $5.00 fee per person collected on-site. Registration collected is used to support UF/IFAS events including natural resources.
