The journey into full maturity of being a woman takes us through many cycles & differing rhythms. Our desires, needs & values change, relationships dissolve or transform, what is most important to us undergoes radical shifts. Our bodies soften & move into shapes we’d rather not have. We must grieve many differing losses.
In our western culture the value & gifts of aging are dismissed; our perspective ignored, sometimes ridiculed. The ancient links to being crone, wise woman, elder, along with the gifts of experience are written off as irrelevant to the challenges of our current times. Yet there can be joy in the unfolding of becoming crone. For there is a unique fertility available through & beyond menopause.
