Description of the course: WISCONSIN CONCEALED CARRY WEAPON (CCW) LICENSING CLASS.Full Description: Upon successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to apply for the Wisconsin Concealed Weapons License (CWL), which is currently recognized in 35 states. The class covers:
Safety of handgun ownership;
Firearm Safety and Basic Firearm Fundamentals
Grip, Stance, Trigger pull
Handgun handling, loading, and unloading, (using dummy rounds)
Concealed Carry options
Different types of holsters are available
Storage and Cleaning
Mental preparation for handgun ownership
Deadly Encounters and the Aftermath.
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals.
The Legal Use of Force.
Wisconsin CCW Regulations and Certificate of Completion
Will the student receive a certificate of completion: YES - Students will receive a Concealed Carry Firearms Training Proof of Training Certificate that can be uploaded or mailed to the WIDOJ along with the required application that is available on the WIDOJ website.
Maximum number of students accepted: 15
Minimum number of students to hold the class: 2
Cost per student: $60
Any prerequisites to attend the training: Must be at least 21 years old.
Things a student must bring to the training:
Water & snacks
Notebook with pen/pencil
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn all you can to be a responsible handgun owner
Anything a student should do in preparation for the training: Talk to a friend/family member about taking the class with you. It is always fun to have someone you know in class.
