Wisconsin Association of Colleges of Teacher Education Spring Meeting

Welcome! We are very excited to see you. Please join us on April 11, 2022, 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Dreyfus University Center (DUC) Alumni room on the UW Stevens Point Campus, 2100 Main St, Stevens Point, WI 54481. Here is a little more information about our day.

Agenda: The meeting will include a DPI update, a presentation by Wade Cummings with AACTE on how we can address and advocate related to the anti-CRT legislation being proposed across the country, our regular business meeting, and some opportunities for breakout conversations and reconnecting. Superintendent Jill Underly has also been invited to address our group but has not yet RSVP'd.

Refreshments: During the day refreshments will be available. In the morning there will be an assortment of muffins and Danishes along with fresh fruit with Poppyseed Yogurt Dip, yogurt and toppings, coffee, tea, hot water, and juice. For lunch there will be boxed lunches including your choice of turkey and provolone, ham and swiss, or hummus ciabatta (gluten free options available). Each lunch box will include the sandwich of your choice, whole fruit, bagged chips, David's cookies, canned water. Please note that your registration must be complete by April 1, 2022, to reserve your lunch.

Parking and Directions to the Conference: Please park on the south side of Lot R (the side with the meters) place the linked Parking Reservation on your dashboard by steering wheel to avoid being ticketed. Please review the UWSP Campus Map linked below to locate Lot R. The WACTE conference will take place in the Dreyfus University Center (DUC) in the blue building with number 40 on the map. Please walk from Lot R across Serves Street to enter the DUC building. The conference will take place in the DUC Alumni Room on the third floor of DUC. You should find the room by entering the DUC building through the door closest to the R parking lot. Then walk about 150 ft straight into the building. Use the stairs straight ahead of you or the elevator to go to the top floor. The alumni room will be on your right on the 3rd floor of the building
