Wirrina Bluegrass & Acoustic Roots Festival

A weekend packed with Bluegrass Old Time and other acoustic music. Concerts on festival stage plus blackboard concert - find out what's on this stage on the day!

Lineup includes The Weeping Willows (VIC) Andrew Clermont's Supper Club Max Savage & Lofty Mountain Band (SA) Paula Standing Trio & more.

Plus led sessions and workshops by experienced presenters for all to join in. Anything from instruction on the banjo or fiddle through to 'come & try some new instruments and new sounds'. Bring your instrument or your voice. Join in the Shearing Shed Dance Shanty singing Sunday morning Gospel singing or Bollywood dance instruction. Sunday also features the Wirrina Young Musicians' Contest for under-18s - check out our website for more details and come and support the next generations. Friday's Acoustic Roots Concert Saturday night Bluegrass Concert and plenty more. Festival stage outdoor in marquee - perfect for bringing your picnic rug and family.

If you're wanting more learning you might also like to check out the pre-festival Music Camp - 3 days intensive instruction for those who want to improve (or get back into) their playing. All ages for acoustic instruments. Skilled tutors all with international experience including this year's overseas guest artists Jeri Foreman (UK/AUS formerly of South Australia but not based in Glasgow) with Grace Honeywell (UK/USA).
