Wirral Highways Suicide Awareness Workshop

Wirral Mind have been working with Wirral Borough Council Road Safety Team, Merseyside Police and National Highways on a Wirral Highways Suicide Awareness and Prevention Campaign - Calm Care Call.

The vision of the Calm Care Call campaign is that no one attempts to take their life on our roads. Together we want to raise awareness that intervention can make a difference when someone is thinking of suicide.

This workshop aims to:

• raise awareness of suicide including risk factors and protective factors
• increase understanding and knowledge of practical suicide prevention techniques
• increase skills and confidence for you to have a potentially lifesaving conversation
• discusses what to do if you see someone in crisis on Wirral's highways

We believe all suicides are preventable.
