Winter Wreath Experience
Winter offers only a handful of days each year when the vineyard allows us to slow down, gather together and share what happens behind the scenes.
Ever wondered what goes on in a vineyard during winter? The answer is pruning.
Pruning is one of the most important jobs of the year. It tidies the vines after a long season of growth, prepares them for their winter rest and helps shape the vintage to come.
This year, we're inviting you to become part of that story.
Join us for the Highclare Winter Wreath Experience - a day of vineyard wandering, gathering and creating. Pull on your favourite boots, wrap yourself in a scarf, tuck a basket under your arm and spend a winter morning wandering among the vines.
We'll share the art of pruning, collect seasonal foliage and vine canes, then return to the warmth of the Wine Room to craft your own wreath, enjoy platters, wine and good company.
Bring your friends, or come on your own and leave with a few new ones.
In a small way, you'll help shape Vintage 2027 while taking home a beautiful reminder of your day at Highclare Estate.

Info: Travel by bus (included) to the vineyard where Matt and Sarah will share the story of winter in the vineyard and the art of pruning. Discover how the decisions made now help shape Vintage 2027.

Gather & Collect
Info: Enjoy a glass of Highclare Estate wine while watching a pruning demonstration, then, basket in hand (bring your own if you'd like to add a touch of whimsy), wander among the vines collecting vine canes and seasonal foliage for your wreath. Pull on your favourite boots, scarf and beanie and embrace the beauty of a Tasmanian winter morning.

Info: Head back to the warmth of the Wine Room and settle in for an afternoon of creativity, wine and conversation.

Create with Meg
Info: Floral stylist Meg from Little Pollen will guide you through creating your own seasonal wreath using the materials you've gathered from the vineyard.
As you create, enjoy shared platters, a guided tasting of Highclare wines and the company of old friends and soon-to-be friends.
