Winter World in a Tent fair with stalls, world food + performances - Dover

Welcome to our free Winter World in a Tent fair in Dover! Join us on Sat Nov 22nd at the Maison Dieu - Dover's amazing town Hall for a celebration of diverse communities, cultures, landscapes and history of Dover. It will be an evening filled with stalls, world food, and performances. Explore unique crafts and gifts at the stalls, indulge in delicious international cuisine, and enjoy live entertainment through the night. It's the perfect way to kick off the festive season with family and friends.

There will be performances by the Orchestra from Everywhere made up of refugee musicians, singers and musicians, some African drumming, Bollywood and Indian dancing for people to join in with, a display of Nepalese culture, heritage with dancing, an array of food stalls including Nepalese food, Indian, Ukrainian, plus henna, and arts and crafts activities by the Maison Dieu team . Hear stories of refugees and pilgrims welcomed through its doors over 800 years. Make a big festive badge to celebrate Dover's diverse communities, beautiful landscapes or rich history!

Programme for the evening :

Doors open - 12pm

12.15pm -African Drumming ( there will be drums for you to play but bring your own if you have one)

1pm -1.20 - Indian Dance group with Dr Erin Anthonyrajah

1.20pm -2pm - Indian Bollywood ( join in session for everyone)

2pm - 2.30pm - Samba drumming ( join in session)

2.30pm - 3pm - Nepalese Limbu Dances ( join in session for everyone)

3-4pm - Orchestra from Everywhere performance

Food, arts and crafts activities till 5pm.

Final schedule will be added in the next week.
