We're bringing the magic back again this year Sunday Dec 15th from 4:00-8:00pm. The magical experience invited families for a day of real falling snow, toy giveaway opportunities, LB Resource Fair and a picture with Santa! Vice Mayor Cindy Allen is excited to invite families to the Free Winter Wonderland and Discover LBCC event, happening on December 15, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Orizaba Park (1435 Orizaba Ave., Long Beach). This year, the event promises even more winter magic and holiday cheer with real snow, sledding, crafts, a toy giveaway, and more.
"This is a magical opportunity to bring winter joy and holiday excitement to the families of Long Beach," said Vice Mayor Cindy Allen. "The smiles on children's faces and the sense of community remind me of how special Long Beach truly is. I'm grateful to partner with so many dedicated organizations, especially Long Beach City College, to make this celebration a reality."
Families will enjoy a snow play area perfect for kids, sledding hills, and frozen photo ops for capturing holiday memories. There will also be free food, crafts, and a toy giveaway, ensuring every child feels the holiday spirit.
"LBCC is proud to support this community event as part of our Discover LBCC initiative," said Sunny Zia, Area 3 Trustee for Long Beach City College. "This event highlights the incredible resources and opportunities LBCC offers, and we're thrilled to bring educational connections and holiday joy to the Orizaba Park community."
The event also includes community information booths to help families connect with valuable resources, learn about city services, and engage with representatives from local, state, and federal offices.
