🔥🌿 Winter Witch Apothecary & Medicine Cabinet 🌿🔥
A Full-Day Hands-On Herbal Workshop at Mystic Acres
📅 Sunday, September 13th, 2026
📍 Mystic Acres
💰 $155 per person
🥗 Light lunch included, along with tea, coffee & water
As the days grow shorter and the colder months approach, it’s time to turn our attention toward the medicine cabinet.
Join me at Mystic Acres for a full day of herbal medicine making, old-fashioned homesteading wisdom, plant folklore and a little kitchen witchery as we create preparations for your own winter home apothecary.
Throughout the day, we’ll talk about the traditional medicinal uses of the plants we work with, how to prepare and store them, and their magical properties, folklore and ways they can be incorporated into your spiritual practice.
🌿 What We’ll Create
🌿 Yarrow First Aid Salve
Learn how to create an herbal-infused oil and turn it into a beautiful salve. Yarrow has traditionally been used topically for minor cuts, scrapes, irritated skin and minor inflammation.
🫐 Elderberry Plus Syrup
Together we’ll create a beautiful elderberry syrup to add to your winter apothecary. Elderberry has a long history of traditional use during cold and flu season and for supporting general wellness. We’ll discuss proper preparation, storage and how to safely recreate it at home.
🔥 Hearth Witch Fire Cider
Garlic, onion, ginger, horseradish, citrus, herbs and warming spices come together in this traditional herbal vinegar. Fire cider is commonly used as a warming winter tonic and digestive support.
🍯 Fermented Garlic Honey
A wonderfully simple old-fashioned preparation made with raw honey and fresh garlic. Garlic has a long history of traditional use for immune, respiratory and cardiovascular support, while honey is traditionally valued for soothing an irritated throat and cough. We’ll learn how to prepare, ferment and safely store your garlic honey at home.
🌿 Oil of Oregano — Herbal Infused Oil
Learn how to make a traditional oregano-infused oil using dried oregano. Oregano has historically been used in herbal practice for digestive and respiratory support. This is a gentle herbal infusion—not concentrated oregano essential oil.
🌞 Winter Blues Mood Booster Tincture
We’ll create a tincture featuring St. John’s Wort and Lemon Balm and discuss their traditional use for supporting emotional well-being, relaxation and a balanced mood during the darker months of the year. We’ll also cover important safety considerations and medication interactions associated with St. John’s Wort.
🌼 Chamomile Glycerite
Learn how to make a sweet, alcohol-free herbal extract. Chamomile is traditionally used to support relaxation, restful sleep and mild digestive discomfort.
🧙♀️ The Magic of the Herbs
These plants have stories.
We’ll explore their magical correspondences, folklore and traditional spiritual uses—from yarrow’s association with protection and energetic boundaries to garlic’s long history as a protective plant and chamomile’s connection with peace, luck and abundance.
You’ll discover simple ways to bring the plants from your medicine cabinet into your magical practice through spell work, charm bags, baths, offerings, protection work and seasonal rituals.
🎁 Start Your Own Home Apothecary
Everyone will leave with a special Mystic Mana Apothecary Gift Bag, including small amounts of several herbs we work with during the day to help you begin stocking your own herbal apothecary at home.
You’ll leave with remedies, recipes, herbal knowledge and the confidence to continue creating long after our day together is finished.
This workshop is perfect for the curious beginner, homesteader, herbal enthusiast, kitchen witch, green witch—or anyone who feels called to reconnect with the old ways of preparing for winter.
No previous herbal experience is needed.
