Herbal Tea- More than a drink to sip on! with Sol Root Farmers Collective
About this Event

Join us for our second wellness workshop at ANV Farm. There will be tea to sip and enjoy while you learn about self-care practices and rituals for creating and working with herbal teas, led by Sol Root Farmers Collective land stewards, Courtney and Marcella.

More than a drink to sip on, in this workshop we will talk about the different ways to make herbal teas and how teas can support physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional health. Sol Root will also facilitate a plant sit to build and deepen relationships with the plant allies who are featured in the tea blend we’ll be drinking together. Bring a mask and a mug! Q&A and an open market of Sol Root's handmade goods will follow the workshop.

Participants receive:

● Knowledge on how to create and work with herbal teas for holistic wellness

● PDF print out that includes information shared in the workshop

● Sol Root tea blend sample

● Building deeper connections with plant allies

Sol Root cultivates connections between the land and people through farming, herbal medicine, and educational experiences. Sol Root approaches farming as a healing arts practice, where working with land, water, and cosmic energies to cultivate plants is therapeutic. We weave together farming, astrology, ancestral practices, ceremony, and ritual to create spaces where people can reconnect with nature and ultimately themselves. We offer space where heavy hearts can transmute pain into beauty through farming, and where helping something grow helps us grow, as people, and as a community.

Located on 0.65 acres in Sunol, California Sol Root grows corn, beans, squash, watermelon medicinal herbs and flowers such as chamomile, tulsi, lemon balm, hibiscus, marigold, yarrow, sunflower, pericon, thyme, and calendula. We create herbal wellness products like herbal oils, tea blends, balms, agua florida, and dried bulk herbs. We also offer educational experiences on farming, herbal medicine, womb wellness, and other self-care and mental health topics.
