Winter Trail Running Series-Medium Race

Margalla Trail Runners is presenting the 2nd edition of Winter Trail Running Race Series on different trails of Margalla Hills. The race series consists of 3 races; Short Medium and Long-distance races.

The basic objective of the Race Series is to understand navigation skills. Participants have to select any route for the uphill and downhill runs. The start and finishing points are the same. Just participants must have to reach the defined spot where the race marshal will note down the bib numbers of the race participants.

This is the 2nd and medium race of the series which is a short race of 9 to 11 kilometers starting and finishing at Trail 5 Car Parking.

All the participants can take any route to the only compulsory checkpoint Trail 5 Fireline Top (https://goo.gl/maps/8AzKSaunVA48RBWy7) as shown in the picture and must come back to the finish line at the Trail 5 Car parking. It’s your responsibility to make sure the race marshal at the checkpoint has noted down your bib number.

The entry fee is Rs. 500 for an individual race and Rs. 1500 Medal Fee and Rs. 2500 for all three races of the series with a Medal. Please keep hold of your Bib number for all the 3 races or an additional Rs.100 will be charged for a duplicate bib number.

There will be medals for those who’ll participate in all three races. And there will be NO cash prize or other prizes. The winner of the series who’ll get maximum points in all three races.

At each race points will be attributed to the top 20 finishers in a symmetric manner for men and women according to the following grid: A maximum of 100 points in each Race.

1st position holder will get 100 points

2nd position holder will get 80 points

3rd position holder will get 70 points

4th position holder will get 60 points

5th position holder will get 54 points

6th position holder will get 48 points

7th position holder will get 42 points

8th position holder will get 36 points

9th position holder will get 30 points

10th position holder will get 26 points

11th position holder will get 22 points

12th position holder will get 18 points

13th position holder will get 16 points

14th position holder will get 14 points

15th position holder will get 12 points

16th position holder will get 10 points

17th position holder will get 8 points

18th position holder will get 6 points

19th position holder will get 4 points

20th position holder will get 2 points

Registration Starts: at 07:00 am at Trail 5 Parking Islamabad Pakistan.

Race Starting Time: 09:00 am

Level: Medium

Duration: 1 to 2 hours

Terrain: Trail

Distance: 9 to 11km

Ascent: 800 meters.

Shoes: Trail or Multi-terrain Shoes
